Meet Jenny

Jenny is just six years old, and for most of the last three years of her young life, she’s grown used to going to bed hungry at night. Jenny’s mum is raising her on her own and she works really hard to stretch whatever money she has.

When it runs out, she’ll do whatever she can to put food on the table for her daughter. She’s even sold some of the furniture to raise a few extra euro so that her little girl won’t go hungry.

Food runs out very quickly – which is why we need YOUR help as soon as possible

Things are usually okay for the first few days after being paid, but with bills to be sorted, there’s very little left over. Jenny used to cry when she was hungry, but it didn’t change anything – there was still no food in the cupboard. So now, when she goes to bed on an empty stomach, she just accepts it.

Sometimes, it takes hours to get to sleep if the hunger pangs are particularly bad. And when that happens, it shows the next day in school. Her concentration is poor and she can often grow agitated and disruptive in class.

No child in Ireland should have to suffer from hunger – ever. Please help Jenny TODAY by making an urgent donation.
