Polar Circle Buddies

Barnardos supporters Sarah Robson and Ruth Whelan are doing the Polar Circle Marathon in Greenland in October 2012 - they'll be the first Irish women ever to take on this challenge.  The Polar Circle Buddies also includes Ronan Flood, making him only the third Irish man to attempt the race.  

There's a dinner and drinks reception in ely brasserie on Saturday 26th May to help the Polar Circle Buddies raise funds for Barnardos and Crumlin Children's Hospital.  It's going to be a fantastic evening with great food, music and amazing raffle prizes - visit their Facebook page to find out more:  www.facebook.com/PolarCircleBuddies

Barnardos and the Great Limerick Run 2012!

Barnardos are delighted to announce that we have been chosen as the Charity of Choice for the Great Limerick Run 2012!

Barnardos relies on sponsorship, raised from events such as the Great Limerick Run to support our services.  Please sign up for our fundraising pack and you will be helping us continue our work with the thousands of children in Ireland who rely on our help.

Sunday May Bank Holiday 2012 will see the third Great Limerick Run. The streets of Limerick City will welcome over 7,000 runners and 30,000 spectators along the course. This event has something for everyone including a marathon, a half marathon and a 6 mile event. Join the Barnardos Team for this fantastic event, raise some money and stay for the fun on this festival weekend!

Wedding Favours

Instead of sugar coated almonds or chocolates for your guests on your special day why not present them with a really thoughtful gift by making a donation to Barnardos on their behalf?

A donation to Barnardos on your special day will make a real difference to the lives of the children and families we work with.

We can provide you with tent cards for all the tables at your wedding reception informing your guests about your donation to Barnardos on their behalf. We would recommend 3-4 cards per table.

Single on sale in aid of Barnardos

Want to do your bit for Barnardos, why not download the Let the Children Be single from Suzanne Carroll and Leslie Downdall. Let the Children Be was recorded in the Crystal Charity Concert in Clanard Court Hotel, Athy, Co. Kildare on 29^th March 2012. The song is available to buy on iTunes and a portion of the proceeds will be split between Barnardos and Laura Lynn Children Hospice Foundation. The single only costs 99c, 25c of which will go towards Barnardos in aid of building a better future for children in Ireland.
