Benefits of membership

Barnardos Training and Resource Service is a unique resource, which provides information, training and publications on anything to do with children and families. A membership scheme is available for those who wish to borrow resources and avail of the other benefits of membership.

Membership of Barnardos Training and Resource Service offers many benefits. These include:

  • Borrowing rights - members can borrow up to four items for three weeks with renewal option of items not required by other members
  • Journals - access to a wide range of child-related journals and the facility to obtain articles in journals held by other libraries, including the Barnardos UK library, Irish Health Care Libraries and the British Library.
  • Database and internet searches - subject specific literature and information searches by information professionals.
  • Personalised service - research assistance is provided. Free mailing facilities for members.
  • Childcare eNews - a regular update emailed to you about recent developments within the area of childcare and child related issues
  • Daily Digest - an emailed compilation of relevant on-line newspaper articles on child and family issues.
  • Discounts - 10% discount on all public training events and on all Barnardos publications.
