We have a number of community employment vacancies within the Barnardos retail CE scheme. Community Employment is a great opportunity to learn new skills or develop existing skills.

Accredited training is provided to support your career. All positions are 19.5 hours per week, and are subject to DSP eligibility requirements.

Post: Community Employment Warehouse Assistant

Job Description

Sales Assistant Duties

To assist in the day to day running of the shop including stocking shelves, sorting stock, pricing stock, stock rotation and cash register duties, ensuring window displays are attractive and any other reasonable duties requested by the shop management.

Warehouse Assistant Duties

To assist in the day to day running of the warehouse including, unloading and loading stock, label removal, stock taking duties, pricing and tagging, preparation of merchandise for delivery, participation in the Barnardos pop-up shops and any other reasonable duties requested by management. Must have a keen interest in fashion.


Person Specification

To be eligible to be employed on a CE scheme you must be in receipt of a payment from the Dept of Social Protection for a minimum of 12 months.
