Fundraising Hints & Tips

There are loads of great ways to boost your fundraising target. Here are a few favourites:

• Set yourself a target, tell people and smash it! There's a handy poster in your Big Toddle pack that will let people know how much you're hoping to raise.
• Set up an online sponsorship page. It’s the easiest, safest and quickest way for sponsors to give. It also collects the money straight away so will save you chasing people afterwards.
• Get close friends and family to donate generously at the beginning. It will encourage others to do the same!
• If you’re on Facebook or Twitter why not tell all your friends and family about your Big Toddle? Share your sponsorship page online and encourage others to support your child.
• Tell the local press about your event using the press release template that comes in your Big Toddle pack. You could even provide a link to your fundraising page and encourage the public to help you meet your target.
• If you really want to smash your target, add on an extra fundraising event at your Big Toddle like a cake sale, raffle or treasure hunt. Check out the Barnardos Fundraising Guide for more great fundraising ideas!

Collecting and paying in your sponsorship money

Once you’ve raised all your sponsorship money don’t forget to pay it in! The quicker you do, the quicker we can put it to use. It really couldn’t be easier. Simply choose from one of the following ways to pay:

Online: Set up your own online sponsorship page - It’s the quickest, easiest and safest way for sponsors to donate.

By Post: Send a cheque or postal order, made payable to Barnardos to: Barnardos, Christchurch Square, Dublin 8

In Person: You can pay your money in at any bank, post office or building society using the following details.

• BIC: AIBKIE2D

Or use the lodgement slip enclosed in your pack. Be sure to write your group’s name on the back of the lodgement slip you use at the bank so we can send you on a receipt!

By Phone: Call the Barnardos Toddle Team on 1850 222 300 and we can take your donation by credit or debit card.

Please remember! If you are retaining up to 25% of the money you have raised for your group, you will need to deduct this before you pay your money in. It cannot be returned afterwards. Thank you.
