Event Type

Are you finding that everyday experiences with your child can be challenging or overwhelming? Does your child find transitions, a change of routine, new textures or tastes, or new situations upsetting and difficult to adjust to?Numbers are limited and early booking is advisable

As a parent, it can be difficult to know how to respond when your child is overwhelmed. This programme draws on principals of sensory attachment interventions (SAI) and could help you to develop your own self-regulation, so that you are more equipped to support your child.

The course aims to explore aspects of regulation, and how we can self-regulate in our day to day lives, so that when faced with difficult parenting situations we are in a better space to be able to respond.

Each week we will look at a different aspect of self-regulation – how we nurture ourselves, modelling self-care, responding and connecting.  This will be done through discussion, experiential learning and practical exercises. Please note that you will be encouraged to reflect on your own process, triggers and ways of managing stress. However, as the weeks progress it will become evident as to how you can apply the learning to your child’s regulation.

The programme will run over 4 consecutive weeks – every Wednesday Morning 10am-12pm in March.Dates:

  • Wednesday 5th
  • Wednesday 12th
  • Wednesday 19th
  • Wednesday 26th

An additional 5th session will be optional based on demand.
