At Barnardos, we feel privileged to be one of the chosen charities to benefit from this extraordinary act of public generosity.
Through the support of the Irish public, Barnardos will address the collective trauma of the COVID-19 pandemic by developing a new and innovative approach to community wellbeing in five regions across Ireland with over 1500 children and families expected to benefit.
The donation from the Toy Show Appeal will also allow Barnardos to provide intense and individualised support to an increased number of children and families who have been referred to our frontline Family Support and Bereavement services.
Over 20,000 children and families who access Barnardos services across Ireland will benefit from the creation of therapeutic spaces in our centres.
Barnardos will also further develop best practice programmes to support the most vulnerable children in our care who are experiencing adverse childhood experiences.
Sign up for our Supporting Children in Ireland emails and we'll send you information about issues facing vulnerable children today. We'll also send you stories and updates about the children we work with, and let you know the progress that your support is helping, as well as other useful information about our work and events.
