Content and Learning Objectives of Workshops

At Barnardos, our preferred option for workshops about online safety are face-to-face as it allows more interaction with children and our trainers get to really hear from children what is going on for them online. However, we have a responsibility to keep everyone safe and it is unlikely that we will be able to do our face to face workshops for a while. As a result, we’ve worked hard with a Design Agency and with focus groups from children and young people themselves, to create an alternative to our face to face workshops. Our Zoom online workshops are 35-40 minutes in length, with our trainer in their own home and linking in with the students in the class via the interactive whiteboard. The class teacher would need to be on hand to help with interaction between the trainer and the class.
