Children First, Child Protection Training Webinar

Illegal Birth Registrants Therapeutic Support Course

Running on Tuesdays for six weeks from 31st January to 18th April 2023. This course is designed around therapeutic group practice, a reflective therapeutic space for those whose births were illegally registered. Developed for those who discovered this information either in their childhood or more recently as adults.

Participants will explore how trauma impacts a child’s developing brain and their overall development and will offer an introduction to how individuals respond to trauma. This training will support participants to become trauma sensitive to the children and families they encounter in their work practices and explore simple strategies that can support children who experience different types of situational trauma.
