A workshop especially for adopted teenagers aged 13-15. The Different Parts of Me workshop provides a safe, fun and supportive environment for young teens to explore how adoption fits into all the other aspects of themselves.

Group activities, delivered through the mediums of art and games, will help encourage the participants to feel at ease and open up in a secure setting with other teens with similar experiences. This workshop is delivered in two parts, run over two days:

Wednesday, 19th April and Wednesday, 26th April 2023

This group aims to boost youths' self esteem by developing a greater understanding of adoption; explore trivia related to birth countries; explore and identify unique and shared feelings that many young people have about adoption; look at some of the questions they might have about themselves; provide them with tools for when they are faced with uncomfortable questions about their background; and to help develop their sense of self by identifying their interests, talents and characteristics and exploring whether these came from their birth or forever families.

Facilitated by Rebecca Murphy & Ruth Farrell.
