To mark National Reuse Month Barnardos shop in Cork took part in a "Glitz & Glamour" fashion show run by Cork Environmental Forum. All of the amazing clothes in the photos can be found in Barnardos Cork shop. Huge thanks to our models Niamh O'Mahony, Emily O'Sullivan and Shaima Bazinou.
Barnardos Cork shop has been open since 1999. Charity shops give people a chance to consider the life cycle of their wardrobe as well as encourage recycling and reuse to be more mainstream. You can visit one of our seven different Barnardos charity shops and re-home your own pre-loved clothes, move away from fast fashion and even expand the lifespan of the actual item. And while you are there you have the opportunity to find another treasure.
Barnardos shops have regular events for book worms, mother and baby, homewares as well as having a mix of pre-loved and brand new stock. Over 3000 donation sacks are distributed around the country each week. Stock is delivered to shop twice weekly so there is always new and interesting items to be found! The stock is changed seasonally so the shop is always worth a visit for something you can wear now. In addition, Barnardos have a loyalty card scheme for customers. For every €5 spent you receive a stamp and a full card gives you €5 off your next purchase.
