We're delighted to be the chosen charity for the wonderful children's book 'Adam Saves the Seasons'.
The book's award winning author, Benji Bennett, told us his motivation behind the book, "By fate, the books I write and the message they contain are so deeply inspired by my love for my little boy Adam, they are renowned for creating a profound and positive emotional experience for parents to share with their children at bedtime."
Adam's Cloud, the children's book publishing company, was set up in 2008 by Benji Bennett in memory of his 4-year-old son Adam who passed away in August 2007 from a brain tumour. Without any expectation about the future, the aim was to publish the book, 'Before You Sleep', Benji's first book to promote a special message of love, laughter and play in the family. Adam's message is to encourage parents to express their love to their children by reading to them at bedtime and saying "I love you" before they go to sleep.
Nine months later "Before you Sleep" was awarded "Book of the Year" at the prestigious Irish Book Awards.
Since then Benji and Adam have gone from strength to strength, publishing 8 number one bestselling children's titles and earning a second Irish book award. "Adam Saves the Seasons" is the most recent book in the series and is available in all good bookshops across Ireland and can be purchased online.
It is thanks to partnerships such as this that Barnardos can continue to provide our much needed services around the country. Together we can change the lives of thousands of children for the better.
