Danone Early Life Nutrition joined their charity partner to celebrate the 15th birthday of the Big Toddle for Barnardos. To date, the partnership has yielded €3.8 million euro in support of Barnardos work with children in their early years' service, which provides programmes for children who need additional supports to prepare them for the transition to primary school, including literacy and social skills development. The company's dedication and commitment to long term impact has supported Barnardos to reach more and more families each year.
Donal Courtney General Manager Danone Early Life Nutrition said: "We at Danone Early Life Nutrition are delighted to have reached this incredible milestone with Barnardos. For us it makes so much sense to support the work Barnardos does - they help children reach their milestones, and support parents to create greater outcomes and opportunities for the whole family. At Danone we recognise the importance of the early years of a child's life, and so our partnership with Barnardos is a an excellent example of how we bring our own vision - One Planet, One Health to life by helping make a difference to the future health of children in Ireland."
Barnardos CEO Fergus Finlay spoke at the event: "As the Big Toddle turns 15, we want to celebrate and thank our partners Danone Early Life Nutrition. Their generous support and commitment to improving the lives of children in Ireland has meant that all of the money raised by more than 350,000 toddlers, their creches and families has gone directly towards our work. This work is long term, intensive and focused on changing the lives of the children - and could not be done without the support of partners like Danone."
