Huge congratulations to our amazing volunteers Mary Bolger, Dorothy Neill and Philippa Jennings who are each worthy recipients of the Carlow Volunteer Centre's Volunteer Recognition Award in Memory of Paddy Looney.

Mary has been volunteering, since 2003, in the Carlow Shop on Wednesdays and Saturdays each week. She is always dependable, reliable and generous, she is valued and respected by the shop's team members, of all ages. Mary has always supported every new team member during her many years volunteering in the shop and has encouraged, listened, been willing to offer a shoulder, if needed, to colleagues. Mary's gentle way and her upbeat approach to getting tasks completed is very inspiring.

Dorothy and Philippa have been volunteering in Carlow's Family Support Service since 2006 and 2007 respectively. They consistently support the Parent and Toddler group on a weekly basis with dedication, commitment and enthusiasm. Dorothy and Philippa arrive every week, without fail, with a bounce in their step and bring a freshness to the service and the team along with lots of fun.

Dorothy, Philippa and Mary are a shining example of the spirit and ethos of volunteering. We are truly privileged to have them part of our volunteering team.
