Internet Safety & Cyberbullying Workshop for Parents and Guardians

Our workshop will offer parents/guardians an opportunity to consider how they can increase their child's online safety and respond to any instances of negative online behaviour.

Parents/guardians will be provided with take home information on social media and parental controls.

Making the Most of Supervision Training

The aim of this 3 day course is to generate a positive relationship between supervisor and supervisee, focusing on quality practice and, through this, to inspire and motivate staff in their work.  This course is suitable for anyone working with children and adults in a supervisory role within social care, health care or in early years settings.  It is also relevant for those who work with children with the skills and knowledge that are necessary to deal with child protection issues in accordance with the Children First Guidance 2011.

Designated Liaison Person Training

This one day training event aims to equip participants with the knowledge and skills that are necessary to carry out the role of Designated Liaison Person effectively and with competence.  This training is suitable for newly appointed and established DLPs who have completed Children First, Child Protection Training.

Children First, Child Protection Training

The Children First Act 2015 will put elements of the Children First: National Guidance for the Protection and Welfare of Children (2011) on a statutory footing.  The aim of this training is to equip those who work with children with the skills and knowledge that are necessary to deal with child protection issues in line with the Children First Guidelines, 2011.

This one day training event includes a copy of Barnardos Protecting Children, A Child Protection Guide for Early Years and School Age Child Services resource.

Giving Evidence in Court Proceedings

This interactive workshop will benefit any professional working in childcare or education who may be called to court to give evidence about their work with a child or family.    

The course is run by an experienced Guardian Ad Litem (GAL) with extensive experience in working with Courts in Ireland and the UK and by a Solicitor experience in family law.
