Get ready to don your favourite festive jumper and show off your festive style! We’re excited to launch Barnardos Christmas Jumper Day and we are asking you to join in the fun! By coming together with colleagues, friends, family, or classmates to wear your most fabulous, silliest, most outrageous or most stylish Christmas jumper, you can help us provide support where it’s needed most, ensuring vulnerable children receive the care, warmth and security they deserve. Christmas is a time for joy and togetherness, but for many families, it can also be a challenging time. There are so many families who rely on Barnardos each Christmas. We really do need your help, we can’t let them down. Every euro raised will go directly towards our services, including nutritious meals at our Breakfast Clubs and After-School Clubs; essential practical supplies like food parcels and fuel vouchers; and emotional support for families facing difficult times. Together we can really make a difference to the life of children we work with, children like Connor.Ready to get involved?

Tips for your festive fundraiser
Host your Christmas Jumper Day alongside a festive bake sale, mulled wine (non-alcoholic) or hot chocolate morning, or office party to raise even more. Can’t get together in person? Set up a virtual Christmas Jumper Day on video call!
Split everyone into teams to design and decorate a festive jumper or tee. Use fabric paint, glitter, baubles, lights …or other Christmassy things you can get your hands on.
Ask your workplace if they offer a matching gift program – many employers will match your fundraising efforts, doubling your impact!
Encourage people to take photos in their jumpers and share them on social media, tagging @barnardos_irl and using the hashtag #ChristmasJumperDay. Add a bit of friendly competition for the best jumper!

Barnardos Christmas Jumper Day is a festive fundraising event where participants wear their favourite Christmas jumper and raise vital funds to support vulnerable children and families across Ireland.
Pick a date that suits your workplace, school, or group. While our official Christmas Jumper Day week is from Monday 16th – Friday 20th December, you can hold your event anytime in the run-up to Christmas. Pick a date and mark it on your calendar!
Anyone! Whether you’re at work, school, or gathering with friends and family, all are welcome to join in and help us spread joy while supporting Barnardos.

You must sign up to receive your fundraising pack, which includes everything you need to get started.
Your fundraising pack will be sent shortly after you register. Please allow a few days for delivery.
No, you don’t have to buy a new jumper. You can wear any festive jumper you already own, upcycle an old one, or get creative and make your own!

After your event, you can pay in your donations online through Donate | Barnardos or by sending them to Barnardos directly.
We encourage participants to reuse jumpers they already have or get creative by upcycling an old one. The goal is to have fun while making a difference, not to buy something new. Feel free to craft your own or swap with friends to keep the event as eco-friendly as possible!

Tips to make your fundraising raffle a success
- Add your Barnardos Teddy Bear to a Christmas hamper filled with festive treats to make your raffle even more special.
- Host your raffle alongside a festive bake sale or mince pie morning – even a karaoke sing-along. Let us know if you’d like additional materials such as balloons or posters.
- Ramp up the festivities by wearing your best, funniest, or most creative Christmas jumper and award small prizes to the winners!
- Don’t be afraid to ask for support! Share details of your event via email, in Whatsapp groups, or on your social media channels.
- Many companies offer a Matching Funds Scheme for staff fundraising. Check with your workplace to see if your funds can be doubled.
Sellers Prize Draw T&Cs
- Participation in this competition implies acceptance of these terms.
- Entry is only open to registered raffle organizers participating in the Barnardos Teddy Bear Raffle.
- Each registered Raffle Organizer (Seller) who returns their funds by Friday, 13th December will be automatically entered into the prize draw for a chance to win a €200 One4All voucher.
- The winner will be notified by phone.
- The judges’ decision is final, and the winner will be informed within 7 days of the closing date.
