Service Arrangements

Barnardos Service arrangements from March 12th, 2020

  • Our aim is to continue to provide contact to children and families by telephone at this time.
  • All services centres will be closed to children and families from today and planned home visits will cease.
  • Our services centres and our offices will remain open to staff at this time. Our staff will maintain contact with service users by phone and complete a range of other work
  • Groupwork – all group work services will cease as of the evening of March 12th. This includes Wizards of Words, Roots of Empathy, the cyber-bullying workshops, Friendship Group, Parent & Toddler Groups, Breakfast Clubs, After-School and the Playground in Ballybeg.
  • Guardian ad Litem service continues but is impacted by the Courts decision to prioritise urgent matters only. Please contact the GAL Service or your individual Guardian ad Litem.
  • Bereavement Helpline – will remain operational Barnardos Helpline Service – (01) 473 2110 – is available from 10am-12pm Monday to Thursday to members of the public seeking information and support in relation to bereavement. The Helpline is operated by fully trained and supported volunteers.
