Barnardos Birth History Service are pleased to announce an online support group for mothers who had their child relinquished at birth to adoption or boarding out. The purpose of the group is to provide a safe space for birthmothers to meet others and avail of support. The group will be a confidential space for birthmothers to share their experiences with others who may have similar experiences.
Topics which may be explored within the group will include:
- Parting with a child for adoption
- How this experience has affected the mother’s life
- Searching for or being contacted by an adopted son or daughter
- Outcomes of search
- Relationships after reunion.
