Free Library Membership for Early Years Professionals
Barnardos Library is a national service, providing comprehensive information on a range of child-related issues from early years education, child development, child protection, family support to bereavement, diversity, parenting, childcare and more.
Barnardos Library offers free membership to two groups of professionals working in the early years sector in Ireland.
Group 1
- Early Years Educators working with children
- School Age Childcare Professionals
- Childminders
Group 2
- City and County Childcare Committee Employees
- Better Start Employees
- Area Based Childhood Programme Employees
- Department of Children, Disability and Equality Employees
Barnardos Library provides:
- A one-stop-shop for information on issues relating to children and families.
- Resources such as books, ebooks, reports, online journals and databases and official publication.
- Online library catalogue
- Memberships includes:
- Borrow up to 8 items at any one time via post out.
- Remote access to ebooks, Databases and Journals.
- Monthly eUpdate (latest Library resources and other relevant content).
- Personal research assistance.
- 10% discount on all Barnardos’ publications and selected training events.
- Information Service – Drop-in, Call or Email – if you have a query.
