Barnardos is calling on the public to support its mission to change the lives of vulnerable children across Ireland this Giving Day Friday, 19th September. The children’s charity works with families who are affected by traumatic life situations, offering a range of professional early intervention specialist services; and practical and emotional support services in 56 Barnardos centres, family homes, schools and communities nationwide. The Barnardos Giving Day is supported by Dell Technologies.
Mary Gamble, Director of Fundraising at Barnardos, said: “Every donation, big or small, helps children reach their full potential, and we appreciate Dell Technologies supporting our cause since 2017. This Giving Day, we’re coming together to raise awareness and funds for children who need us most. Because childhood lasts a lifetime.”
Damien Farrelly, Presenter, Ireland’s Classic Hits Radio, said; “We are so proud to stand with Barnardos once again for Giving Day 2025. Every child deserves to feel safe, supported and valued, and the work Barnardos does to make that possible is truly life-changing. Our listeners have always been incredibly generous, and we know they’ll get behind this important cause to help children and families across Ireland when they need it most.”
To mark the big occasion, Ireland’s Classic Hits Radio will host a special one-day takeover, featuring stories, interviews, and calls to action encouraging listeners to click and donate.
