Community Employment Scheme

Community Employment (CE) is designed to help people who are long-term unemployed  to get back to work by offering part-time and temporary placements (19.5 hours per week) as well as FETAC accredited and in house training provided by Barnardos. The initial contract is for one year but may be renewed depending on participant circumstances and Dept of Social Protection policy.

Application is easy. Simple call or email. Contact details below each table.

Individuals must be in receipt of a payment from the Department of Social Protection for at least 12 months and  be over the age of 21 to be eligible for the scheme. Participants are paid €22.50 per week in addition to their social welfare payment.
