Go Green For Barnardos

Go Green for Barnardos is not just about wearing green for a day,
it can be about so much more.

Are you in?

Whether you are in a school, pre-school, club or community group, we are asking you to Go Green for Barnardos. Join us to promote environmental awareness and sustainability within our communities — while raising vital funds to help change the story for the most vulnerable children in Ireland.

Together, we can make a difference for our planet and for children who need it most. Let’s Go Green, give back, and do good — one small action at a time!

Here are some fun and creative ideas for hosting
a ‘Green’ fundraiser.

Re-Turn Deposits

Organise a recycling drive where students or members can donate their bottles and cans to a Re-turn bin and donate the deposit return proceeds.

Green Bake Sale

Host a bake sale and sell home baked green-themed goodies to your friends and family. Every bite goes towards helping Barnardos.

Pop Up Shop

Set up a pop-up shop and ask everyone to donate pre-loved items like clothes, games and toys. You’ll be raising money while promoting recycling and reusing within the community.

Sustainable Fashion Show

Host a fashion show featuring outfits made from recycled materials or sustainable fabrics. Charge a small ticket fee and hold a raffle to raise even more.

Sponsored Eco Challenge

Organise an eco-friendly challenge (such as reducing plastic use; cycling instead of driving, a local litter pick etc) for a month and gather sponsorship from family and friends.

Wear Green For A Day

And of course, you can encourage students, teachers, members, and coaches to wear green for a day, with a small donation for participation. Perfect ahead of St. Patrick’s Day.

By taking part in Go Green for Barnardos, you can foster a spirit of giving and also encourage discussions about sustainability and our environment. Together, we can change vulnerable children’s story.

Because Childhood Lasts A Lifetime.
