Parenting After Separation or Divorce

This programme is suitable for parents who are planning to separate or have already separated. Developed based on experience as a family mediator, Parents Plus facilitator, research and personal experience, this workshop looks at ways to help children/teens to cope with parental separation. The workshop also looks at how parents need to care for themselves and covers topics such as introduction of new partners, blended families, parenting plans etc. The programme also teachers key parenting skills to help parents to manage child/teen behaviour, connect well with child/teen, encouragement and how it helps child/teen to be more confident and other skills. Parenting alone can bring challenges and the key parenting skills is aimed at helping parents to know how to cope and also to be confident in their parenting style.
