In order to address the challenges of parenting when separated, Parents Plus have developed a six week psycho-educational course for parents who are preparing for, going through or have gone through a separation or divorce. Specifically the Parenting when Separated Programme aims to help parents: Solve co-parenting problems in a positive way that focused on the needs of children; Cope with the emotional impact of separation and learn stress management techniques; Help your children cope with the impact of the separation both emotionally and practically; Enhance communication with their children and with their children’s other parent.
Private parent coaching can be arranged and tailored specifically to clients needs. The coaching draws on the required resources/workshops at Help Me To Parent including: Parenting Age 1 to 6, Parenting Age 6 to 11. Parenting Teenagers and Parenting After Separation or Divorce.
The Early Years Parenting Programme aims to build on parents’ strengths and to have more enjoyable and satisfying relationships with their children and to help them solve discipline problems.
The course is aimed at parents of younger children, but modified according to the group. Objective of the course is to address how parents interact with their children, focusing on positive parenting and positive discipline.

Promoting confidence and self-esteem. Tools to equip the young person to make choices.
The Parents Plus Children’s Programme (PPCP) is an evidence-based parenting programme package that draws on well-researched ideas on parent-child communication and behaviour management. Using video footage of parenting scenes and comments and stories from real parents and children, the programme is suitable for parents who want to find ways to: Solve parenting problems in a positive way that helps children learn; Manage difficult behaviour and discipline problems; Help their children be more cooperative and learn to keep the rules; and help their children learn and to reach their full potential at school.
This programme is designed for parents, to help them understand more about conflict and how it is managed, and to reduce its potentially harmful effects on children. The workshop looks at conflict through the lens of the current economic climate and the specific challenges that recession can bring to family. The training is designed to help you understand the nature of conflict in relationships and some of its causes. Identify the protective factors which help reduce the negative impact of conflict on relationships. Recognise different types of conflict, how people respond differently. Understand the impact of conflict on children. Deal with conflict in ways that reduce the potentially harmful effects on children.
