Barnardos children’s charity is today calling on the public to donate any unwanted gifts to their shops. Every donated item will go towards the charity’s work with children and families across Ireland in 2020.

30 December 2019. Gifts given with the greatest of intentions can sometimes miss the mark. However, what may not be the right fit for you may just be exactly what someone else is looking for! Barnardos children’s charity is today calling on the public to donate any unwanted gifts to their shops. Every donated item will go towards the charity’s work with children and families across Ireland in 2020.
Barnardos has seven shops around the country, located in Dublin (Dalkey, Clondalkin, Kilbarrack and Dun Laoghaire) Carlow, Cork and Wexford that are accepting donations. Your donation will not only help strengthen sustainability in the marketplace, but also go a long way towards support children and families throughout 2020.

Bernadette Harrington, Barnardos Shops Manager said: “In each of our shops we sell everything you could imagine so there will be a home for all the clothes, shoes and accessories, household goods, children’s toys, art and books that are in need of new owner. The funds brought in from each donated item will go directly towards are work with over 17,700 children and families in communities across the country so it really will be the gift that keeps on giving.
“There is something for everyone in Barnardos shops and donations of unwanted gifts, big or small, are always welcome! “
