What are the benefits of tailored training?

Barnardos can offer you a comprehensive training needs analysis, examining your needs in detail and identifying precisely what training will suit you best.

Most importantly, our skilled trainers will then specifically tailor each training course to fit your organisation’s setting and sector, using real life scenarios to help participants connect with and apply the content to their daily work practice, therefore getting the most out of the learning experience.

Our tailored training courses can also be delivered at a time and place that suits you best. All participants receive a certificate of attendance which is valid for 3 years.

Barnardos Learning and Development Service also offers a range of consultancy services and can conduct practice reviews, audits and support the development of safeguarding statements to meet legislation and inspection requirements.

Who does Barnardos provide in-house training for?

Whether you are an early years service, a local sports club, a youth and community project, an educational institution or a private language school, our team will deliver an evidence informed, best practice and highly relevant training session for you.

What other organisations say about Barnardos Training

“We chose Barnardos due to their long standing experience in the area of child protection and of their understanding of how our organisation interacts with vulnerable children.

"Our staff found the programme both interesting and enlightening and it served to broaden their knowledge in regard to their obligations under the Children First Guidelines and what our Child Protection Policy is trying to achieve.

Our staff have greater knowledge of their obligations under the policy. They have a broader view of the needs of the children they may interact with and also the appropriate action to take if required. As an organisation we have benefitted from having our staff being properly trained in regard to the Children First Guidelines. Our staff are more confident in dealing with vulnerable children and how to interact with them."

"The students were very happy with their training and particularly liked the way it appealed to all the different learning styles. While it was a heavy topic as such to cover each student enjoyed the workshop and its delivery ensured that they all benefitted from attending.

The students now feel competent in knowing what to do should they encounter any child protection query in their work. They are also more aware of their legal obligations as Early Years Workers and the correct reporting procedures."
