Meet Our Partners

We’re fortunate to have a number of dedicated charity partners who have made a commitment to support our work with children and families through the investment of their funds, talent and time. These include:

Aldi

Barnardos & Aldi are delighted to join together to raise €1 million over the next 2 years to help build better futures for the vulnerable children and families that Barnardos work with across Ireland. Everything raised from the partnership will go directly to our Early Years and Family Support Programmes. Aldi staff and customers are helping us to be there to support vulnerable children overcome the effects of poverty, disadvantage and childhood trauma and know that it is not their fault. DELL Technologies

Barnardos were delighted to form a strategic partnership with Dell Technologies in 2017 to improve Barnardos services to children and families in the communities in which they operate. This partnership spans employee engagement and volunteering as well as commercial support through their sponsorship of the annual Barnardos National Collection Day. In addition Dell Technologies and Barnardos have worked together to harness their skills to help improve digital literacy amongst children we are working with to deliver bespoke Code Work Clubs in Dublin, Limerick and Cork.

Google.org

In 2019 Google.org pledged a €1 million education grant over 4 years to help Barnardos facilitate over 4,000 workshops in schools across Ireland and enable children to interact safely and responsibly online

IKEA

IKEA believes that every child has the right to learn, develop and have fun and they work with us in Barnardos to deliver a long-term positive impact on the lives of the most vulnerable children and young people in Ireland. This partnership is supported by staff fundraising, in-store activations and awareness campaigns, as well as the proceeds from the SAGOSKATT soft toy range and the IKEA Ireland Co-worker Cookbook

Saint-Gobain

Saint-Gobain sites across the country have been working with Barnardos since 2017 to help transform the lives of young children in our early year’s services and friendship groups. Staff from Cavan, Dublin, Clare & Kildare join forces by competing in sporting challenges, fundraising and volunteering efforts to support Barnardos while sharing their skills and expertise in their sector.

The Irish Sun

Barnardos are grateful to The Irish Sun for sharing the stories of our work and the impact it has on the lives of some of Ireland’s most vulnerable children. This partnership builds awareness in the media, encourages staff to fundraise and they organise the Barnardos children’s colouring competition.

Cadbury

Barnardos are thrilled to be the official Charity partner for the Cadbury Easter Egg Hunt that takes place in Merrion Square Dublin. This ever popular event is a family favourite with big and little kids alike and thanks to the generosity of Cadbury 100% of funds raised come directly to Barnardos to support our services for children and families. Following a successful multi-year Charity Partnership with Mondelez Barnardos were delighted to continue our relationship with the Cadbury brand which also extends to their popular Cadvent campaign at Christmas.
