Programme Details

Target audience:First time parents, People who parent alone, Fathers, Foster parents, Blended families, Parents of children 1 to 6 years
Theme/subject matter:General Parenting, First Time Parenting, Behaviour Management, Special Needs, Evidence based success in working with children with issues such as ADD and ADHD
Method of delivery:Group work, One-to-one work
Programme aims:To maximise their children’s learning, language and social development, as well as reduce behaviour problems, while ensuring their children grow up happy and emotionally secure. The programme is suitable both for children within the normal range of development as well as children with special needs such as ADHD, speech and language and other development problems.
Resources used:Programme developed by John Sharry, Grainne Hampson & Mary Fanning. SWKFRC hold the manual, DVDs and other resources needed to provide the course.
