Barnardos Birth History Service are pleased to offer an Exploring Adoption Course for Adopted Adults. The course will be run online one evening a week over the course of 4 weeks.
The course will take place on the following dates:
- Tuesday April 23rd 2024
- Tuesday April 30th 2024
- Tuesday May 7th 2024
- Tuesday May 14th 2024
The purpose of the course is to provide a safe space for Adopted Adults to meet others and avail of support through the sharing of experiences.
The “Exploring Adoption” course is facilitated by Barnardos experienced birth history service. It is suitable for adopted adults of all ages.
The course explores issues such as:
• How it feels to be adopted
• Preparing to search for your birth family
• Birth and adoptive family perspectives
• Outcomes of search for a birth family
This is a 4 session course, to benefit most from the course it is advisable to attend all 4 weeks. This is a closed group and only those registered to attend at the beginning can attend the remaining sessions.
