Barnardos Birth History Service plan to host a confidential, in-person support group for individuals who are the subject of an illegal birth registration.
The purpose of the group is to provide a safe and confidential space for individuals to meet others who have been impacted by an illegal birth registration and avail of support. The session will include aspects of self-care and hearing others story in relation to what stage they are at since discovery of illegal birth registration.
The group is a safe space to offer mutual support to each other and explore ideas for future supports for those who were illegally registered at birth.
